A writer with a passion for investigative reporting, telling untold stories and public-service journalism, I have built my career covering education and food in the Bay Area. I am currently a staff writer at the Palo Alto Weekly, an award-winning independent newspaper. Topics of interest include mental health, sexual violence, social justice and dining.
My reporting on education and campus sexual assault won awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association and the Greater Bay Area Journalism Contest. I also received national recognition for my coverage of the Brock Turner sexual assault case at Stanford University, and continue to cover high-profile education stories in the Bay Area.
My blog, Peninsula Foodist, is the go-to source for restaurant news in Silicon Valley.
I hold Spanish and journalism degrees from the University of Southern California and am conversational in Spanish.
In my free time, I can be found eating, reading and eating.
